Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Radiology Support Services, the incumbent is responsible for the effective, efficient support to all of the modalities within the Diagnostic Imaging department including: ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality services to clients.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and clerical support to Radiology Support Services and related Diagnostic Imaging modalities to ensure timely, accurate, and quality service to clients.

Assist with workflow coordination, data entry, and document management within RIS, EPR, e-chart and ISCV systems as applicable.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience: Previous related experience required.

Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS), Electronic Patient Record (EPR), e-chart and ISCV preferred.

Education: Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.

Indigenous language competency and knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions and values preferred.

Typing 50 wpm and medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access) required.

Strong English communication skills (oral and written) and excellent interpersonal abilities.

Physical Requirements

Some lifting required. High volume area with frequent interruptions.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
