Overview
VP - Business Management
As Vice President, Business Management β you will act as a strategic business leader responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic initiatives for RBC Clear. This role combines deep analytical expertise with executive leadership to optimize business operations and support growth objectives while ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategic priorities. Role is seeking an ambitious self-starter who is comfortable both with leading a team and building from the ground up.

Responsibilities
What will you do?
Strategic Planning & Execution
Support development and lead execution of comprehensive business strategies, annual operating plans, and multi-year strategic roadmaps. Partner with senior leadership to translate corporate strategy into actionable business unit objectives and performance metrics.
Financial Management & Performance
Support P&L responsibility, including resourcing, expense management, and margin enhancement. Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes while ensuring robust financial controls and governance. Work closely with Finance partners to ensure overall health and wealth of RBC Clear business.
Business Analytics & Insights
Leverage advanced analytics and data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, identify market opportunities, and optimize business performance. Establish key performance indicators and reporting frameworks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with functional partners across technology, operations, risk management, compliance, and other key areas to deliver integrated business solutions. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to drive cross-organizational initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop a high-performing team of business management professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence. Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
Operational Excellence
Oversee day-to-day business operations, identifying and implementing process improvements, efficiency gains, and scalability enhancements. Champion operational discipline and continuous improvement methodologies across all functional areas.
Qualifications
What is required to succeed?
Must Have
Undergraduate Degree required, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
7+ years of experience in progressive business management experience in financial services or related industry, preferably in Cash Management/Transaction Banking; 4+ years of business leadership roles
Proven track record of driving business growth and operational improvements
Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities
Excellent leadership and team development skills
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities
Keen sense of numbers and strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask and handle high-pressure executive level requests on an ongoing basis
Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage business partners (risk, compliance, technology) in a matrixed environment
Nice-to-have
Experience in capital markets, investment banking, or wealth management
Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-functional initiatives
Experience with digital transformation and technology-enabled business solutions
Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, FRM) preferred
