Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees the accounting functions of the organization, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of financial information. The CFO ensures financial recording accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and established internal controls and procedures. The CFO’s leadership contributes to strengthening of the Executive Team at Yellowhead Community Services.
The Society’s business is multi-faceted, encompassing the operations of a multi-service community agency, a housing portfolio, and a range of community economic development initiatives. This is a pivotal leadership position in the organization, requiring a broad base of strategic and executive management skills and abilities to ensure the overall financial health of the Society.
The main office is located in the beautiful community of Clearwater, a small yet vibrant municipality in the North Thompson Valley. Known as the “Gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park,” Clearwater is renowned for its stunning waterfalls, pristine lakes, and lush forests. In addition to its natural beauty, Clearwater is also poised for growth in the resource sector, offering promising opportunities for development.
