Senior Engineer / Project Manager, Land Development

Responsibilities
Providing project engineering and technical expertise for land development projects including studies and reports, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration.
Providing senior review and professional authentication of memos, reports, drawings and other engineering documents.
Managing land development projects including scope, schedule, budget and client relationships.
Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and utility companies and contractors.
Planning projects, developing scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget.
Leading and participating in Business Development initiatives.
Preparing proposals.
Working closely with engineers, designers, drafting and support staff.
Mentoring junior engineers, technologists and designers.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario.
15+ years progressive experience in municipal engineering, with at least 10 years in a consultancy.
Experience with design of servicing, grading and/or stormwater management for land development projects.
Strong English communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven capability in writing reports and other technical documents.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
Ability to work independently and in an interactive team atmosphere.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive relationships with staff, project team members and clients.
