Job summary

In this role, the Azure Data Architect holds primary accountability for designing, deploying, and sustaining robust data solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies. The position requires deep expertise in SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric to facilitate seamless data integration, advanced transformation, and comprehensive governance. The incumbent ensures that all technical specifications align with core business requirements, while also fostering innovation through the adoption of modern platforms and frameworks. Operating within a collaborative, agile team environment, this position is integral to delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing data architectures that drive organizational objectives. How you will make a difference

Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Fabric Notebooks (PySpark) Building and optimizing data models, creating insightful reports, and managing interactive dashboards Collaborating with stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver tailored, data-driven solutions Monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing performance of data pipelines and workflows across platforms Ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with organizational and regulatory policies Documenting data pipelines, workflows, tables, and analytical processes for transparency and maintainability Requirements

Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent Four to five years of experience with designing and deploying Azure solutions, including coding and infrastructure development Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and communicating with diverse stakeholder groups Proficient in business analysis, including documentation and technical specifications The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office. What do we have to offer you?
