Responsibilities
Advise clients of their legal rights and all matters related to law
Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law
Perform management functions related to the practice of law
Plead clients\' cases before courts of law, tribunals and boards (lawyers only)
Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion
Draft federal, provincial or territorial government bills
Negotiate settlements of civil disputes (lawyers only)
Represent interests of corporation/employer in all business related to legal matters
Offer mediation, conciliation and arbitration services
Conduct law workshops
Research legal precedents and gather evidence
Provide public education seminars/sessions
Write and edit for legal publications
Supervision
