As their General Counsel continues to build the legal team, the company is seeking a Corporate Secretary to take a leadership role in the governance functions, supporting the Board and its Committees. You will prepare and attend the meetings and prepare the minutes. You will also oversee the corporate records maintenance and filings and advise on governance and compliance risks. This position is located in Toronto’s Financial District, is hybrid with 3 days in the office and reports to the General Counsel. Responsibilities

Lead governance functions, supporting the Board and its Committees. Prepare and attend board and committee meetings and draft the minutes. Oversee corporate records maintenance and filings. Advise on governance and compliance risks. Qualifications

Minimum 9 years’ experience in a Corporate Secretarial or Governance role. JD or Business degree. Experience within a financial institution or regulated industry is a plus. Judgement, organizational and decision-making skills; diplomacy and discretion in handling sensitive material. Excellent communication skills and comfort dealing with all levels of management, including the executive suite. Details
