Lead Power Systems Engineer position for ECG Engineering - Toronto, with ECG Engineering Pty Ltd. ECG Engineering is a leader in Electrical Engineering, delivering design and project delivery services to Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive capabilities in Australia and globally. The Toronto-based role contributes to a growing power systems team, with occasional coordination with our Australian, African, and Perth offices. Preference is for the successful applicant to reside in Toronto. The role focuses on power systems design and studies for mineral processing related Electrical Projects, including detailed design, technical reports, and studies on remote mining plant power systems with a strong emphasis on renewable energy. Undertake power system analysis for clients Design power systems for the mining and power generation industries Preparation and evaluation of tenders Use power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP Qualifications

Analysis and design of HV power systems including design of powerlines and substations Specialized network analysis and performance standard studies experience Solid electrical engineering experience that includes knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applications Experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects Degree level electrical engineering qualifications, with specialized power engineering qualifications well regarded Ability to self-manage while working in a variety of team / project delivery scenarios Ability to travel with project requirements Role Details
