Job Description What is the opportunity? We Power Bold. This specialized Vice President, Credit Advisory role is focused on underwriting credit for our clients – Canada’s most exciting, fastest scaling technology and life science companies. Vice President is a key player on the Credit Advisory team who supports existing and prospective clients, liaises with internal and external parties, performs research, due diligence, and quantitative / qualitative analysis. What will you do? Underwrite new credit proposals, including Venture Debt and Recurring Revenue Lines for prospective clients and work with Directors or Managing Directors on large and complex transactions Manage the administration, negotiations and legal documentation required to put new credits in place Lead due diligence calls with prospective clients and investors. Present credit proposals in a clear and credible way, earning the trust of C level management of prospective and existing clients. Manage a portfolio of clients, preparing annual reviews and credit revisions ahead of approval by credit adjudicators Coach and develop junior members of the team, support new initiatives and projects as needed What do you need to succeed? Must-have Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., finance, business, economics, engineering) 7-12 years of experience in banking or financial services, or 4+ years of experience in credit underwriting Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word Strong business and financial acumen, including excellent understanding of financial statements Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting time sensitive deadlines Interest in start-ups and the VC ecosystem Nice-to-have Previous experience with financial modelling and analysis Specialized industry expertise in a past role Working towards CFA, CPA, CBV or other relevant professional designation Bilingual in French / English What’s in it for you?
