Position: Investigations Manager, Risk Management (Contract, 12 months). Reporting To: Director, Risk Management. Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Location: Toronto.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Risk Management, the
Investigations Manager
leads a team of Investigation Specialists responsible for conducting a variety of due diligence reviews, including fraud investigations and broker and appraiser onboarding and monitoring. The Manager guides and leads the team to meet objectives while maintaining quality results.
Ensure investigations are completed in a timely manner
Ensure the Quality Assurance Mailbox is handled within agreed SLAs
Schedule and allocate resources to meet targets
Lead complex investigations
Test and report on the quality of Fraud, Broker and Appraiser onboarding reviews
Stay up to date with emerging fraud trends
Manage team capacity through delegation and productivity monitoring
Manage performance through coaching and feedback
Establish performance and work standards
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees as required
Provide coaching, training, and development to team members
Lead team meetings and conduct annual performance reviews
Adhere to AML requirements and related policies/procedures
The Requirements Needed

Experience/knowledge of residential underwriting practices
Proven fraud investigation experience, specifically in a mortgage broker-originated mortgage environment
Proficiency with basic PC software and the Microsoft Office suite

Repetitive movements from keyboard and mouse
Extended screen time
Multi-tasking which may include speaking to customers while using computer programs
