About the role

The

Director, Analytics

is a senior leadership position that plays a critical role in shaping and delivering Blueprint’s work with public sector and nonprofit clients. Reporting to Blueprint’s Competency Leader, the Director leads the design and implementation of cutting edge strategies and engagements which leverage data and analytics to strengthen Canadian public policies and programs. This role requires deep expertise in applied data analysis methods combined with strong leadership and collaboration skills. You will contribute to the development of inter-disciplinary solutions in partnership with advisory and other competency teams. You’ll be responsible for driving excellence in methodology, engagement delivery, and sector thought leadership. Key responsibilities

Thought Leadership:

Develop sector-specific perspectives, tools, and publications that strengthen data analytics practice and position Blueprint as a leader in the field. Engagement Delivery : Lead client engagements focused on data analytics and contribute to interdisciplinary project teams to design and deliver impactful, evidence-informed solutions. Data Analytics Methods and Innovation:

Strengthen the use of high-quality analytics methodologies, tools, and approaches. Provide guidance to teams in selecting and applying methods that best align with client needs and context. Business Development:

Partner with advisory teams to identify new opportunities and co-develop compelling proposals that showcase Blueprint’s expertise. Quality Assurance:

Provide strategic oversight to ensure excellence in data analysis engagements, emphasizing analytical rigor, contextual relevance, and high client value. Team Leadership & Development:

Provide mentorship and coaching to team members. Foster a culture of learning, collaboration and ensure delivery readiness. The successful candidate will demonstrate Blueprint’s values of being

evidence-driven, people-centred, curious, accountable, and optimistic . They will contribute to communities of practice and professional networks both within and outside of Blueprint. What we’re looking for

8+ years of progressive experience in applied data analysis, ideally in advisory, public, or nonprofit sectors. Strong understanding of how to integrate and analyze data to improve public policies and programs, including knowledge of a range of data integration and analysis methods. Experience working with the public sector in one or more public policy areas: employment and training, income security, housing, community safety and justice, or human services Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of developing client relationships and securing new opportunities Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams. Strong leadership capabilities, including experience leading the day-to-day work and supporting the professional growth of an expert team. Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy and Administration, Social Services, Natural Sciences, Business, Engineering, or Math. What we offer
