Overview

Sechelt Hospital is seeking full-time and/or part-time Locum Hospitalists to provide 24-hour MRP medical services to acute care medical patients, with an opportunity to join the group as a permanent member. The focus of this role includes the admission of new, unassigned, and unattached patients through the Emergency Department (ED); comprehensive patient rounding and stabilization at the end of the day; and responding to urgent, non-code calls for patients admitted to the site. Successful applicants will join a new group of Hospitalists and participate in an on-call rotation, which is approximately 1-2 on-call shifts with 5-7 day work weeks. Candidates should have a strong interest in integrating and developing their acute care hospitalist practice within the Sechelt Hospital team. Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour MRP medical services to acute care medical patients at Sechelt Hospital Admit new, unassigned, and unattached patients through the Emergency Department Conduct comprehensive patient rounding and stabilization at the end of each day Respond to urgent, non-code calls for patients admitted to the site Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately 1-2 on-call shifts) with a 5-7 day work week Collaborate with the Sechelt Hospital team and integrate into acute care hospitalist practice Qualifications

Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) — Full or Provisional Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) — Mandatory Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) — Mandatory Remuneration & Status
