Job Summary

The General Manager will analyze occupancy, revenue, and other performance reports to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability. They will lead the development and ongoing revision of the business plan, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts. Responsibilities

Lead the development and ongoing revision of the business plan, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts. Prepare and interpret complex operational and financial reports for ownership and corporate teams. Recruit, hire, supervise, and mentor department heads to ensure effective operations in all functional areas. Conduct performance evaluations, develop improvement plans, and provide coaching to the leadership team. Oversee all aspects of talent management, including hiring, training, discipline, open communication, and terminations. Act as a key representative of the property in the local community and with current or potential clients to enhance brand image and business development. Participate in union and labour relations activities, including collective bargaining and conflict resolution. Conduct regular property walkthroughs to monitor cost control, cleanliness, maintenance, and service quality. Attend corporate meetings, sales events, and serve on internal committees as required. Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure consistent handling of employee relations in accordance with company policies. Maintain a visible presence on the property and ensure availability in accordance with operational needs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience as General Manager at a full-service branded hotel or resort. Deep knowledge of hotel operations, financial management, marketing, HR, and safety/security protocols. Proven ability to manage large-scale hotel operations with a strong understanding of hospitality standards and service delivery. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. Ability to analyze complex reports and drive performance through strategic decision-making. Flexibility to travel for corporate meetings, site inspections, and sales engagements. Corporate Culture
