Overview

We are looking for a strong General Manager or existing Regional Manager of operations in full service restaurants. Job Title: Regional Manager Ontario Job Description: A Training Regional Manager is an experienced restaurant and bar operator/General Manager with excellent communication skills and a dynamic and hardworking leader. They are full of fresh ideas and keen to take on all operational responsibilities. They are a detailed and caring leader deeply committed to sharing their knowledge with our teams. They are committed to developing future GMs and Chefs for the company. This role often requires travel to various cities within a designated region after your training period. This position reports to the Director of Operations in Ontario. The overall purpose of the position is to achieve company objectives by driving sales through building guest count by generating industry-leading restaurant revenue, profit, expansion, and guest service goals by planning, leading, and directing the operation of the Corporate & Franchise restaurants within your region. The successful GM/training Regional Manager will have an unparalleled passion for guest service, restaurant operations, and management of profitability.

Offer:

Competitive Compensation:

A base salary package ranging from $75,000 to $85,000.

Bonus or additional Incentives:

Bonus paid quarterly on store performance and individual contributions ranging from $15,000 to $25,000/year. Car allowance, cell phone and laptop are part of the opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for creating and enhancing a restaurant culture that drives excellence in hospitality, guest satisfaction, top-line revenues, service quality, and profitability to achieve financial goals.

Establish, direct, and review performance standards in food preparation and production to ensure quality, recipe adherence, service, and cost controls.

Direct beverage procedures to ensure security, quality, presentation, and service performance.

Remain current on federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations concerning the industry.

Direct recruitment, training, development, and mentoring of current GMs and Chefs and future GMs and Chefs.

Conduct disciplinary action and performance management in collaboration with Human Resources for all management team members.

Conduct frequent site reviews and audits of restaurants to ensure excellence in all areas.

Address guest-related complaints and coordinate proper follow-up.

Oversee development of management and crew through training and guidance.

Prepare local financial and operational reporting; review variances from budget and ensure targets are met.

Monitor expenses and enforce cost-containment practices; ensure operating expenses align with industry standards.

Evaluate training procedures to maintain high guest satisfaction.

Lead and coach General Managers, Chefs, and teams on restaurant execution and profitability.

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, influencers, and industry stakeholders to support operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience as a Regional Manager of operations within a full-service upscale casual dining concept is a definite asset.

Minimum 4 years as a successful restaurant General Manager with proven financial management in a high-volume full-service restaurant (preferably premium casual).

Strong analytical costing, cost controls, and recipe management experience.

Knowledge of premium casual kitchen equipment, design, and systems.

Proficiency with computer systems (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and POS systems (e.g., KDS, Posi Touch).

Understanding of sanitation, health and safety regulations and related systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.

Willingness to travel extensively within the region and across Canada; valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

College or university degree in hospitality, restaurant management, culinary arts, or business is an asset.
