Mergers, acquisitions and integrations (MAI) are at the heart of our growth strategy. The HR MAI function acts as a catalyst for the human, cultural, technological and operational integration of acquired entities. It ensures consistency in HR practices, regulatory compliance and organizational resilience. The M&A HR Director leads a dedicated project team, working closely with business sectors, corporate functions (M&A, finance, legal, IT), and local HR teams in Canada and the United States.

What you will accomplish with us
As Director of Mergers, Acquisitions, and Integrations, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are your main responsibilities:
Strategic leadership
Define and deploy the vision, objectives, and operating model of the HR M&A function
Ensure alignment with VPTC priorities and corporate directions
Represent the HR function on FAI committees and with internal and external stakeholders
FAI Project Management
Supervise HR due diligence activities (Canada and US)
Oversee HR integration plans (compensation, HRIS, culture, communication)
Oversee HR sales or divestiture projects
Maintain and improve M&A roadmaps, dashboards, and management tools
Team management
Supervise a team of professionals including project managers, HR specialists, compensation specialists, and HRIS specialists
Promote talent development, matrix collaboration, and collective intelligence
Ensure consistency of deliverables, visibility on capacity mobilized, and prioritization of efforts
Contribution to HR transformation
Participate in strategic monitoring and the evolution of HR practices
Collaborate with departments across the VPTC
Contribute to the leadership team of the Vice Presidency, HR Programs, Systems, and Analytics, and to the alignment of cross-functional initiatives
What could accelerate your success in this position
Has at least 10 years of experience in management or senior advisory roles in an ISP context
Has a bachelor's degree in human resources, administration, science, actuarial science, or operations management
Is recognized for their strategic leadership and ability to navigate complexity
Has significant experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and project mode
Has the ability to influence across departments and interact at the executive level
Stands out for their ability to mobilize teams and deliver results in sensitive contexts
Demonstrates a strong command of lean principles, organizational design, and change management
Experience leading transformations/reorganizations involving organizational design and support from all HR departments
Experience in HR analytics, dashboards, and budget management
Knowledge of North American (Canada/US) HR environments
Intermediate proficiency in French and advanced proficiency in English, as the person will be required to communicate, negotiate, influence, and share the vision with companies in Canada/US on a daily basis.

For positions posted in British Columbia: The typical hiring range for this position is CAD 118,318 to CAD 170,046 per year; the base salary offered may vary based on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the position.
