Job Description

The Head of Finance position is a classic all-rounder role but with a premium on business partnering. Core responsibilities include:

Lead the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Develop and implement financial strategies to support business goals. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Support on tendering and pricing decisions and ensure commerciality of contracts. Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in partnership with external partners. Manage cash flow and oversee capital expenditure planning. Collaborate with other departments to optimise financial performance. Drive process improvements and implement financial best practices. Work closely with Group finance and ensure the seamless flow of financial information

The Successful Applicant

The Incoming Head Of Finance Should Have

A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent). Proven experience in accounting and finance leadership roles, ideally with a previous reporting line to business/operations leadership. Strong knowledge of the industrial sector, with a preference towards industrial services and contracts. Proven ability to manage and motivate a finance team. Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic mindset. Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools, with exposure to ERP implementations a plus. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
