Policy and Charging Rules Function
(PCRF) is the software node designated in real-time to determine policy rules in a multimedia network. As a policy tool, the PCRF plays a central role in next-generation networks.
All resources must be located in Toronto ( highly preferred ) or Ottawa. They must have authorization to work in Canada for the duration of the project. The resource(s) must have at least six (6) months of work authorization before starting the work
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (software)
Minimum 5 years of experience or exception granted by our client
Experience with client SPS-Policy and/or SPS-Charging products/platforms/solutions
If located in Ottawa, on an average about 2 travels per month (5 days per trip) may be required.
If located in Toronto, on an average 1 travel every two months (5 days per trip) may be required.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and business skills - organizational, time management skills, etc. normally required to perform complex team-oriented tasks
Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and the ability to work well in a global team. Advanced written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to succinctly and clearly express ideas internally and directly to customer through email, phone, face to face and other means
Strong troubleshooting skills and an aptitude to learn new things.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to represent the client team in Customer meetings without additional assistance
Ability to travel to customer site as needed for face to face meetings, issue resolution, troubleshooting, etc.
Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into solution designs.
Ability to analyse technical problems around product installation, configuration, integration
Experience with Windows, Solaris, Unix and/or Linux, IP, Telephony, Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Access)
Experience with MOP Development and testing of MOPs
Experience with Software upgrade and deployment
Operational knowledge of network integrations with 3rd party network elements
Strong knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN)
Experience configuring firewalls and load balancers
Working knowledge of SAN/VAS
Experience with analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of cloud environment, software and networking issues
Experience with configuration, optimization, fine-tuning and monitoring of applications operating in a cloud environment
Experience performing system backup and restoration
