United Way Greater Toronto is currently seeking a full-time Senior Enterprise Systems Architect to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Information Systems and Technology Solutions, the Senior Enterprise Systems Architect is accountable for establishing, governing, and evolving UWGT’s enterprise architecture to ensure that information systems and technology investments are aligned with organizational strategy, mission, and long-term sustainability. They will provide enterprise-wide architectural leadership across business, application, data, integration, and technology domains. The Senior Enterprise Architect translates strategic direction into actionable enterprise roadmaps, standards, and architectural guardrails that guide solution design and delivery across the organization.

How you will make a difference

Establish, maintain, and mature UWGT’s enterprise architecture framework, including architectural principles, reference architectures, standards, and target-state models, in alignment with direction set by the Director.

Define and document current-state and future-state enterprise architectures across business capability, application, data, integration, and technology domains.

Develop and maintain multi-year enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps that support organizational strategy, approved initiatives, and investment priorities.

Establish and enforce enterprise technology standards, patterns, and guardrails to guide solution design and platform implementation.

Review and assess proposed solutions and initiatives for alignment with enterprise architecture, identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies.

Support the Director in providing oversight of system lifecycle management and architectural compliance.

Define and govern the enterprise integration and data architecture that connects core platforms, including Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and other data sources.

Identify opportunities to rationalize applications and modernize legacy components in alignment with enterprise roadmaps.

Provide enterprise-level assessments of solution options (e.g., SaaS adoption, platform configuration, integration approaches) to inform executive decision-making.

Collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, and IT operations leaders to ensure architectural decisions are secure, compliant, and operationally sustainable.

Identify and articulate architectural risks, trade-offs, and long-term impacts associated with technology decisions.

Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts, templates, and documentation to support consistent adoption across initiatives.

Coach and mentor technical and delivery teams on enterprise architecture concepts, principles, and best practices.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of UWGT’s architectural maturity and technology decision-making discipline.

TOGAF Certification (or equivalent enterprise architecture certification).

Exposure to data privacy legislation relevant to Canada (e.g., PIPEDA, provincial privacy frameworks).

Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational reconciliation and equity framework through participation in learning opportunities and implementing anti-oppressive and anti-racist learnings into action internally and externally.
