General Manager
located in
Calgary, AB . This role will require you to complete a criminal background check for vulnerable sector. This role will oversee a large healthcare facility.

Reporting to the Area General Manager, you will oversee and lead a team through our 200 bed Long Term Care facility managing all food service, laundry and housekeeping services. This role will require you will lead your team through a strong safety culture to deliver excellence to our client, and will leverage your strong business acumen, client/customer service skills and culinary expertise.
Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing food service and housekeeping operations for the site
You will lead your team through food safety training and lead a strong safety culture within a very high volume food service environment
A CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management) designation is an asset
Provide formal supervision to employees, monitors the training and development of staff
Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings
Perform facility inspections quality assurance following physical and food safety regulations.
Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
Post secondary education, ideally in business management, hospitality, and or Environmental Services. Equivalent experience and education may be considered.
Minimum 3-5 years in similar or progressive roles in hospitality, healthcare and catering
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing safety programs, return to work/modified duties programs and strong familiarity with WCB/COR Audits and other related safety programs
Minimum 3-5 years in progressive leadership, supervisory, and managerial roles.
High level of proficiency in MS office suite applications
Strong financial management experience; budget creation, forecasting, interpreting financial data (profit and loss statements)
Ability to pass both a standard background check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
Valid drivers license
