Under the direction of the Youth and Recreation Supervisor and Day Camp Coordinator, the Day Camp Behaviour Counsellor focuses on addressing and managing behavioural challenges while promoting emotional well‑being, positive social interactions, and personal growth among children. Behaviour Counsellor works closely to identify behavioural needs and help implement appropriate strategies. Job Requirements

You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and have Standard First Aid and CPR‑C certification. You must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Preference would be post‑secondary studies in a field related to children and youth development. Ideally you have prior experience working with special needs children but not required. If you are 18 years of age or older, a Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Checks upon hire is required. We are also looking for 3 professional or character references. Flexibility regarding assigned hours of work and the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers is required.
