RQ00749 - Data Analyst working with Excel and Power BI for our consulting client

1 Year contract to start - Hybrid: 1-2 days per week to Downtown Toronto The opportunity

The Junior Data Analyst will support data-driven decision‑making by collecting, analyzing, and transforming data into meaningful insights for stakeholders across the business. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills in Excel and Power BI and demonstrated experience working with complex datasets. As part of the Audit Operations team, the analyst will contribute to operational efficiency, reporting excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Gather, clean, validate, and organize large datasets from multiple sources.

Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights.

Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using

Power BI

to support reporting and decision‑making.

Build automated and recurring reports that improve consistency and efficiency.

Must haves:

3–5 years

of relevant experience in

data analysis, reporting, or business analytics.

Advanced Excel

proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, Power Query, data modeling).

Strong Power BI experience , including DAX, data modeling, dashboard development, and publishing.

Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets using various tools.

Familiarity with SQL is an asset (not required but preferred).

Prior experience working with corporate or professional services environments is considered an asset.
