As part of our team, you'll be driving our Data as a Service (DaaS) transformation, creating a powerful Bell Cloud Data Mesh that enables seamless sharing of data across the enterprise.
You’ll work in a DevOps mode, leading development, engineering and operations to create a reliable and scalable data framework across the company. Your work will be critical to our operations, ensuring our development roadmap aligns with evolving business needs.
Summary
The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President of the Artificial Intelligence Business Unit is a trusted strategic advisor, operational leader, and force multiplier. This role enables the President to operate at maximum effectiveness by driving strategic priorities, ensuring operational rigor, and orchestrating execution across a rapidly scaling AI organization.
This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role ideal for a leader who combines strategic thinking, strong business judgment, executive presence, and hands‑on execution capability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Advisory
Act as a thought partner to the President on business strategy, organizational design, prioritization, and decision‑making
Translate strategic objectives into clear operating plans, milestones, and success metrics
Prepare executive briefings, board‑level materials, and strategic narratives related to AI growth, performance, and risk
Business Execution & Operating Rhythm
Drive execution of top business unit priorities, ensuring alignment across functions and timely delivery
Establish and manage operating cadence (QBRs, OKRs, leadership meetings, planning cycles)
Track key performance indicators (financial, product, customer, and talent metrics) and surface insights and risks
Cross‑Functional Leadership
Partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, AI/ML, Data, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and HR to remove barriers and accelerate outcomes
Lead and/or support mission‑critical initiatives (e.g., new AI product launches, market expansion, M&A integration, platform scaling)
Influence without authority to drive alignment and accountability in a matrixed environment
Organizational Effectiveness & Change
Support organizational scaling, including operating model design, role clarity, and decision rights
Enable change management as the AI business evolves rapidly in technology, regulation, and market demand
Champion clarity, transparency, and high‑performance culture across the leadership team
Communications & Stakeholder Management
Ensure consistent, high‑quality communication from the President to internal and external stakeholders
Act as a liaison between the AI business unit and enterprise leadership
Anticipate issues and proactively manage sensitive or complex situations
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data‑driven product organizations
Experience in scaling a business unit or startup within a larger enterprise
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work‑life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
