Health Care Aide- Vocational Teacher

Health Care Aide - Vocational Teacher Maples Collegiate Full-time Term (September 8, 2026- June 30, 2027)

The ideal candidate will provide quality instruction and facilitating student learning according to the prescribed curriculum. The Career Ready program offers extensive work experience, along with in-class theory for students in the division. The teacher should have connections in the Health Care industry throughout the city that can offer students work placements as a Health Care Aide. The course is run under an articulation agreement with Red River College. Education and Experience: Experienced Licenced Registered Nurse (R.N.) Four years experience in a related field or two years practical experience. Registered member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. Previous experience in teaching or supervision of students is desired. Experience with student centered learning approaches would be an asset. Certificate in Adult Education, Technical Vocational Teacher Education diploma or Permanent Vocational Teacher Certificate is an asset. Required/Preferred Skills:

Strong network of industry Professionals with experience creating or facilitating internships. Relevant industry skills and knowledge relating to the area of instruction, including ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal education approaches an asset. Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation. Ability to motivate and inspire students. Ability to work cooperatively with other instructors and staff. Ability to consider and respond appropriately to the needs, feelings and capabilities of students, to provide feedback and treat students equitably.
