Senior Software Engineer – AI II

for an opportunity with a leading global organization. This role combines innovative, fast-paced engineering with the scale and stability of a large enterprise, focused on delivering AI-powered solutions that modernize tax and accounting workflows through automation and intelligence.

About the Role

Design and implement advanced AI systems, including multi‑component pipelines, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, and custom AI agents.

Ensure system quality, reliability, and compliance through strong testing frameworks, monitoring solutions, and responsible AI practices.

Proactively identify risks and performance issues, making data‑driven recommendations and implementing corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across Product, UX, and Data/Science teams to align AI capabilities with business objectives.

Lead and execute proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies and innovative AI use cases.

Review existing systems and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, and overall architecture.

Stay current with evolving AI technologies and promote continuous learning and adoption across the team.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on AI/ML.

Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building web applications, distributed systems, and APIs.

Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Deep understanding of AI systems, including RAG architectures, AI agents, and agent‑based systems.

Experience integrating AI models into production environments using APIs and data pipelines.

Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and search‑based AI solutions.

Strong knowledge of machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, system design, and end‑to‑end MLOps.

A passion for learning new technologies and advancing modern engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

2–3 years of experience designing, deploying, and operating scalable cloud services using AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2).

Base Salary Range:

$100,000 – $145,000 CAD.

Compensation is determined by experience, skills, and internal equity, and is part of a comprehensive total rewards package that may include an annual performance‑based bonus.
