Role Overview The District Manager owns the operational performance, consistency, and health of a defined group of Brodie League locations.

This role is accountable for ensuring game days run to standard, location leaders are supported and coached, and operational issues are resolved quickly and professionally across the district.

The District Manager serves as the primary link between the Director of Operations and on‑the‑ground General Managers and League Managers across Ontario.

Your mission:

ensure every league night across the district meets the Brodie Standard.

Core Responsibilities District Execution & League Health

Ensure every location in the district consistently meets the Brodie Standard

Monitor weekly execution including game flow, staffing readiness, stats accuracy, content delivery, and player experience

Identify execution gaps early and intervene before issues escalated

Ensure league nights feel professional, predictable, and well‑run across all locations

General Manager & League Manager Coaching

Develop strong, confident location leaders who can operate independently

Act as the first point of support for General Managers and League Managers

Coach leaders through challenges rather than solving everything for them

Reinforce expectations, standards, and sound decision‑making

Standards Compliance & System Adoption

Ensure Brodie systems, playbooks, and workflows are followed in the field

Hold location leaders accountable to SOPs, checklists, and operating systems

Identify where systems are breaking down or being bypassed

Escalate systemic issues and provide field feedback to improve processes

New Market Expansion Planning & Launch

Own district-level support for launching new markets from planning through execution

Lead market research, including facility sourcing and viability, target demographics, and competitor league analysis

Hire, onboard, and train initial on‑site leadership and core game‑day staff to the Brodie Standard

Partner cross‑functionally with Brand, Finance, and Growth to ensure new markets are launch‑ready

Operations Efficiency & Automation

Identify high‑friction, manual workflows across district operations

Partner with League Managers and on‑site teams to improve efficiency

Partner with Tech to implement automations that reduce errors and admin work

Ensure new tools and systems are adopted and actively used

Free League Managers to focus on delivering a great athlete experience

Requirements

Strong people leader with experience coaching managers to operate independently

Proven ability to drive adoption of standardized systems and processes

Experience overseeing consistent execution across multiple locations or teams

Effective problem‑solver who can triage escalations and resolve issues quickly

Operationally minded with interest in improving efficiency through better workflows or automation

Highly organized, accountable, and detail‑oriented

Ability to travel between locations and work evenings/weekends during key periods

5 days in office at our Toronto HQ – Brodie League has thrived due to a culture of collaboration and teamwork in office

Compensation Disclosure The expected annual compensation range for this role is between $70,000 and $100,000 CAD. Compensation is based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. The compensation range may be adjusted in the future.
