Position: Senior Software Developer Duration: 6 Months assignment (contract) Client Location: Toronto (Onsite/Hybrid: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in SAP ABAP development spanning SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC environments. The consultant will support RICEFW development, SDLC lifecycle delivery, documentation, testing, coaching/mentoring of development teams, and integration activities using modern SAP development tools. This role requires strong hands‑on technical capabilities, exceptional knowledge‑sharing skills, and the ability to support enterprise‑scale SAP implementations in a public‑sector environment.

Scope

Support full‑cycle RICEFW development activities in SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments.

Lead technical design, coding, unit testing, and documentation across complex ABAP development initiatives.

Provide subject matter expertise during requirements gathering, design sessions, and functional specification development.

Mentor, coach, and guide developers to improve the team’s technical depth and overall productivity.

Assignment Deliverables

Documented feedback for Functional Specification reviews.

Technical specifications and documented technical unit test results for all development objects.Run procedures for all development objects.

Knowledge transfer documentation supporting all development work.

Expertise Required Must Have:

10+ years hands on experience in ABAP Development, including ABAP Objects and ABAP 7.4/7.5 syntax across full RICEFW objects in SAP S/4HANA and ECC.

10+ years’ experience delivering full SDLC development activities, including documentation and knowledge transfer.

10+ years’ experience providing SME input during requirements, design, and functional specification preparation and review.

10+ years’ experience mentoring and coaching developers, including the use of: Business Application Studio (BAS), Eclipse ADT, GitLab.

Experience using SAP Solution Manager (Project/Change/Request Management), Jira, and HPQC.

Nice to Have:

Experience working in complex public‑sector environments, including governance and compliance.

Knowledge of DevOps practices, Git‑based workflows, and automated testing within SAP landscapes.

Security Clearance Required.
