Key Responsibilities
Program Validation: Load and stress-test control programs (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS) developed by the System Engineer; identify logic bugs and provide feedback for user interface improvements.
Offsite Pre-staging: Configure and test equipment racks off-site to identify hardware defects before delivery to the client site.
Onsite Verification Testing: Manage the line-checking process by verifying all signal paths (audio, video, network) against technical schematics.
Testing & Commissioning: Execute standardized T&C checklists to verify that automated scenarios correctly trigger lighting, audio, and display settings.
Reporting: Document all test results, signal levels, and resolved issues in final commissioning reports.
Technical Requirements
Schematic Literacy: Ability to interpret AV signal flow diagrams and architectural floor plans.
Network Basics: Understanding of IP addressing, VLANs, and hardware communication over local networks.
