This role will focus on developing a clinical-grade care platform that facilitates obesity and cardiometabolic treatment. As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team to architect and deliver high-impact systems essential for clinical workflows and patient care. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the engineering culture while ensuring technical excellence within a dynamic healthcare environment. Accountabilities
Lead, coach, and grow a small team of engineers delivering clinical and operational systems
Establish clear goals and execution plans aligned with product and company priorities
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Provide direct feedback, mentorship, and career development for engineers
Hire thoughtfully to strengthen team capability and long‑term scalability
Guide architectural decisions for backend services and internal tools
Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and maintainable
Oversee development of systems that support clinical charting and care coordination
Partner closely with product and clinical teams to define roadmaps and deliver impact
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
Prior experience as a senior or staff‑level engineer before moving into management
Experience delivering complex backend or workflow‑heavy systems in production
Strong engineering practices around incremental delivery, testing, and operational excellence
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in healthcare or regulated domains is a plus
Familiarity with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, GraphQL, React / Next.js, and AWS
