Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Azure Databricks Architect
to lead the adoption and integration of Databricks as our enterprise AI/ML platform. This role will establish scalable technical architecture, drive innovation, and collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to align with organizational standards.
The ideal candidate will enable self-service capabilities for data scientists and analysts, support global AI/ML model deployments, and ensure compliance with data sovereignty regulations. As a trusted consultant, you will influence leadership, introduce best practices, and help shape the organizationโs data and AI strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership: Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable Databricks AI/ML solutions.
Collaboration & Compliance: Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment, including data sovereignty.
Data Integration: Architect robust data pipelines and integrations across internal and external sources.
Self-Service Enablement: Build frameworks and tools to empower data scientists with independent model development and deployment.
ModelOps Strategy: Define and execute ModelOps frameworks for lifecycle management, governance, and automation.
Performance & Governance: Optimize workflows and enforce data governance/security best practices.
Consulting & Innovation: Provide thought leadership, run POCs, and advise stakeholders on modern AI/ML practices.
Mentorship & Team Growth: Guide and upskill teams, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
Global Deployment: Support worldwide deployment of AI models in compliance with local data laws.
Qualifications
5+ years in enterprise data/AI solution architecture with Databricks, Spark, and major cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
Strong knowledge of lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, data governance, and security frameworks.
Proven experience building and scaling ModelOps strategies.
Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelorโs or Masterโs in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated success leading innovation and enterprise-scale technology adoption.
