The role supports a formal network of “AI champions,” delivers AI training and enablement, provides hands-on support to the user community, and builds advanced prototypes and AI-driven solutions that accelerate internal efficiency.The specialist will additionally support developer AI enablement (GitHub Copilot) by helping teams integrate AI into development workflows, sharing best practices, and running practical coaching sessions focused on real engineering use cases.## **Key Activities:*** Stand up and operate key AI CoE mechanisms: intake, triage, prioritization, and execution support for internal efficiency AI use cases and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).* Build and maintain a network of “AI champions,” starting with PoC owners and expanding across additional departments, to create scalable enablement and local expertise.* Design and deliver AI enablement: role-based training, playbooks, office hours, “day-in-the-life” examples, and coaching to help users adopt tools effectively (including prompts and context definition for PoCs).* Provide hands-on support to the AI user community: troubleshoot issues, guide responsible usage patterns, and help users select the right approach/tool for their scenario.* Build advanced AI solutions and prototypes (low-code/no-code where appropriate, and technical builds where needed), including Copilot Studio agents where applicable, and manage lifecycle: grounding/knowledge sources, validation, monitoring, and controlled updates.* Partner with IT and governance stakeholders to align with governance frameworks and safe use of generative AI with confidential company data.* Support Microsoft 365 Copilot rollout and adoption motions, leveraging the AI champion network to scale training and self-serve support.* Support developer enablement for GitHub Copilot: run coffee hours / clinics, curate best practices, and provide workflow guidance (planning vs agent mode, debugging patterns, instruction files such as agent.md/copilot-instructions.md) to improve outcomes.* Document standards, templates, SOPs, and “how we work” guidance for AI CoE operations, champion enablement, and solution lifecycle management. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.* **Operational Compliance -** Identify, within the team, instances of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.* **Personal Capability Building -** Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
