The Deal Technology (DT) team supports private equity clients by evaluating investment opportunities through IT domain risk assessments and value‑creation levers. In this senior role you will help expand our infrastructure practice. Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

Diligence

Lead market‑leading infrastructure and technology diligence, providing “inside‑out” assessments of on‑premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). Collaborate with EY‑Parthenon teams to combine infrastructure diligence with financial and operational due diligence, offering clients a cohesive view and value‑creation priorities.

Strategy

Assess IT organization for capacity, talent, and process; deliver actionable recommendations that improve productivity, reliability, cost efficiency, and alignment with business strategy. Evaluate infrastructure roadmaps and migration alternatives, advising on cloud adoption (AWS, Azure, hybrid) and large‑scale transformation efforts. Analyze infrastructure spend, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and support robust business cases for IT investments. Lead post‑merger consolidation or rationalization of IT portfolios.

Conduct in‑depth interviews with stakeholders, analyze business plans and pro‑forma financial models. Contribute to people initiatives – mentoring, coaching, recruiting, retaining, and training staff. Ensure quality of delivery – mentor junior team members and uphold high standards. Stay updated on emerging technology developments and refine due diligence processes accordingly.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with partners, case teams, and client teams on daily activities with ownership. Build and maintain strong relationships with regional teams and clients throughout project lifecycle. Present findings and facilitate brainstorming with stakeholders.

Continuously improve the diligence process by staying informed on IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and migration best practices.

Skills & Attributes for Success

Deep understanding of on‑premise and cloud infrastructure, migration methodologies, and best practices. Ability to evaluate the full infrastructure lifecycle – design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization. Strong technical knowledge to assess architecture, hosting models, and operational processes. Experience in infrastructure migration, cost modeling, and optimization initiatives. Familiarity with mainframes and mid‑range servers is a plus. Analytical skills to align complex technology environments with business objectives. Effective communication – clear written reports and compelling presentations to non‑technical audiences. Structured thinking and proficiency in English – listening, reading, and verbal communication. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Desirable Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with outstanding performance (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field). Minimum eight years in IT domain; prior experience as team lead or senior engineer in infrastructure management, cloud engineering, or IT operations. Experience with mainframes and mid‑range servers highly desirable. Experience in PE/M&A transactions, ideally in IT infrastructure due diligence or strategic value‑creation assignments. Knowledge of structured methodologies and industry standards for infrastructure management, cloud migration, cost optimization, and IT operations. Ability to assess industry, products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities. Benefits & Compensation
