What are your contributions to the team?
Report directly to the Challenger Head of Aircraft Design
Act as Technical Deputy of the Head of Aircraft Design
Lead activities at the aircraft level such as:
cross functional investigations
develop & harmonize action plans for product improvements, issues & risks.
Co-Chair the change board and be responsible for the completeness of the proposed solutions
Be the key entry point for Customer Support and Marketing studies
Be responsible for the aircraft level requirements (D&O & ARD), and, design and performance margins of design changes under the purview of the Platform
Work in conjunction with the Functional Directors and Fellows to ensure the appropriate level of support is available to meet the priorities.
Act as the Applicant in design change activities
How to thrive in this role?
You have a University Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering.
You possess a minimum of 15 years’ experience in aircraft design and integration
You have knowledge of the type certification process, the corrective action process, and the procedures of the Design Approval Organization
Possesses advanced knowledge in a specific field and a breadth of knowledge of many aircraft systems
Ability to integrate across multiple engineering disciplines to resolve problems
Leadership, team building and decision/making capability
