Job Description
The candidate will support the design, coordination, and implementation of infrastructure and low-voltage systems across large-scale facilities, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with technical specifications, regulatory standards, and project timelines.
System Design & Technical Development
CCTV and surveillance systems
Access control and security systems
Structured cabling systems (copper and fibre optic)
Public address and communication systems
Audio-visual and video analytics systems
Fire alarm systems (where applicable)
Network and server room layouts including rack and equipment positioning
Prepare detailed technical drawings, system schematics, and design documentation.
Review project specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements.
Ensure system design complies with applicable standards and project requirements.
Project Implementation & Coordination
Assist the Project Manager in coordinating project activities from design through installation and commissioning.
Work closely with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor installation works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
Attend project meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
Technical Support & Site Activities
Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments when required.
Provide technical guidance to installation teams during implementation.
Assist in resolving technical issues related to system integration and installation.
Support testing, commissioning, and system validation activities.
Documentation & Costing
Prepare Bill of Materials (BoM), equipment schedules, and cost estimates.
Maintain project documentation including design drawings, reports, and as-built records.
Support preparation of technical submissions and project handover documentation.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in ELV system design or infrastructure projects.
Experience in structured cabling, integrated security systems, and communication infrastructure.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage
Deep understanding of ELV system architecture and integration
Familiar with local codes (e.g. SS, BCA, SCDF standards)
Able to read and interpret M&E drawings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices related to infrastructure systems, network environments, and integrated facility systems.
