Senior Underwriter

Senior Underwriter -

Toronto Our client is one of the worlds leading insurance underwriters. As a Senior Underwriter working out of the downtown Toronto office, you would manage a portfolio which would require you to develop/maintain relationships with brokers and senior executives from major publicly traded Canadian companies.

Key Responsibilities include

Underwriting D&O portfolio and industry classes

Relationship management and servicing of brokers

Risk/financial assessment and development of underwriting solutions

Growing the target business

Occasional traveling to support broker relationships

Ideal Traits/Qualifications

College/University education with emphasis on Business/Finance preferred

Advanced skills in analyzing and interpreting financial statements

5+ years working experience in a professional environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proven organizational, time management, presentation and negotiation skills

Emphasis on being detail oriented

Good problem solving ability

Willingness to be flexible and take initiative

Ability to work independently to meet deadlines, as well as in a team oriented approach to accomplish goals

Knowledge of systems and PC applications (Windows, Outlook, MSWord, Excel, and data processing systems)

Billingualism (English/French) is an asset
