WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Join RBC's Finance team as Associate Director supporting our Spread Products business within Global Markets. In this advisory role, you'll be the financial partner to senior leaders and trading desks, driving critical financial reporting, forecasting, and planning cycles. You'll work across Investment Grade, Securitization, and Municipal products, presenting insights to Operating Committees and influencing strategic business decisions. This is a highly visible role offering exceptional exposure to senior stakeholders and strong career advancement opportunities.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Serve as primary financial advisor to Spread Products desks; lead monthly P&L reporting and presentations to Operating Committees

Develop and execute forecasting and planning models; analyze financial metrics and variances and provide insights to support decision‑making

Partner with Product Control, Financial Control, and various other functions to support business planning and analyze financial data

Oversee and mentor a direct report analyst; guide professional development and ensure timely delivery of analysis

Lead the annual budgeting process; analyze financial impact and manage budget and expense reporting

Build strong working relationships across Spread Products and finance teams; establish credibility as a trusted advisor

Support cross‑functional initiatives and integrate financial insights into business processes

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have:

5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or advisory roles in banking or capital markets

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to build models and create compelling presentations for senior audiences

Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to connect financial metrics to business outcomes

Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfort presenting to senior leadership

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high‑quality work

Nice‑to‑have:

Product knowledge in fixed income, credit, derivatives, securitization, or municipal markets

Experience working in a matrix or global environment with cross‑functional teams

Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders

Background in financial forecasting or budgeting processes
