**Director, Strategy and Communications**. This pivotal role will drive strategic initiatives and lead internal communications efforts to advance Sun Life's digital and technology priorities, with a focus on our Canadian business. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Reporting to the AVP, Technology Strategy and Transformation, Digital and Client Technology Solutions (DCTS), you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our strategic vision while ensuring effective communication of our initiatives internally.the employee experience top of mind.Strong story telling skills and an eye for graphic design to support the delivery of impactful communications campaigns

Self-starter with a proactive ability to initiate integrated communications plans, to own execution and measure results across multiple channels A proven strategic ability to lead a team to plan, prioritize and collaborate with cross-functional team to meet tight deadlines and deliver measurable results Ability to manage and coach team members to help them grow and develop Excellent interpersonal, leadership, strategic thinking and project management skills10 or more years of experience in communications and strategy roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacityExperience in developing engaging digital internal content strategies Experience with multimedia communications, including video or graphic design Experience with preparing executives for a variety of speaking engagement styles (e.g panel, keynote, breakout facilitation)* Familiarity with Agile/Digital leadership environmentsFor Quebec Residents: Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required as the position includes managing French and English-speaking staff (Quebec and outside Quebec) and providing daily support to the team.* Great Place to Work Certified for Most Trusted Executive Team in Canada – 2025, 2024 and 2023* Great Place to Work Certified for Best Workplaces in Canada - 2025* Canada Order of Excellence for Mental Health at Work certification from Excellence Canada. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
