Job Description:
Our client in the logistics space is looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join their team. This is an accounting role ideal for someone with hands-on experience in costing, pricing, and margin analysis, who enjoys working closely with operations and sales teams. The role plays a critical part in supporting contract pricing, customer proposals, and profitability analysis, while also contributing to broader financial reporting and cost control efforts.
Costing & Pricing:
- Develop, maintain, and refine cost models for shunting and logistics services, incorporating labour, equipment, fuel, overhead, and operational assumptions.
- Prepare pricing analyses and costing schedules to support customer bids, contract renewals, and new business opportunities.
- Partner with the sales and operations teams to ensure pricing reflects operational realities and target margins.
- Analyze contract profitability and provide insights on pricing adjustments, cost drivers, and margin improvement opportunities.
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Work with existing Vendors to confirm relevant cost inputs and equipment availability.
- Review existing vendors cost performance and where necessary recommend alternative sources.
Financial Analysis:
- Review price to actual variances and actively investigate material changes with sales and operations teams.
- Provide regular costing updates to support new bids based on the actual performance of projects and contracts.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Act as a finance partner to non-financial stakeholders, translating cost and pricing data into clear, actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve costing methodologies, pricing tools, and data accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives as the business grows and evolves.

Job Requirements:
- CPA, or MBA designation preferred
- 3–7+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting, pricing, or financial analysis
- High attention to detail with the ability to work with complex data sets
- Comfortable working closely with sales, operations, and other non-financial teams
- Able to explain financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment
- Proactive, curious, and improvement-oriented
