Inspire Greatness**POSITION SUMMARY**The Senior Client Trust and Fraud Prevention Analyst will play a critical role in protecting both customers and the Bank by detecting, preventing, investigating, monitoring, and reporting fraud, including elder financial abuse. This role strengthens client trust by raising fraud-risk awareness and driving initiatives that enhance the Bank’s fraud-management capabilities across all operational processes, with a specific focus on safeguarding vulnerable clients from financial harm.As the Bank continues its growth journey, the Senior Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional partners to help build and mature the Fraud Operations strategy, controls, and practices.**MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE****Key accountabilities of this position include:****Fraud Prevention, Detection & Investigation:*** Support investigations of suspicious, escalated, or complex fraud cases.* Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, law enforcement, and industry partners as appropriate.* Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend updates to processes, procedures, and controls.* Analyse transactional data, behavioural patterns, documentation, and system-generated alerts to detect suspicious activity.* Conduct ongoing monitoring of attempted and confirmed fraud events and prepare timely reporting.**Operational Support & Risk Management:*** Support the day-to-day operations of the Fraud Department to ensure effective execution, assessment, maintenance, and monitoring of key risks.* Identify fraud risks associated with the Bank’s products, services, processes, and client base.* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address issues and provide guidance and advice when required.* Become fully familiar with, and proficient in, the Bank’s processes, systems, and fraud-related workflows.* Work closely with business units to ensure fraud-risk information is communicated, escalated, and actioned appropriately.* Prepare ad hoc reports and take on additional assignments as required.**Industry Awareness & Governance:*** Remain current on industry best practices related to consumer protection, elder exploitation, deceptive practices, and fraud-prevention standards.* Ensure adherence to the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) Seniors Code and contribute to strengthening the Bank’s client-trust framework.**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED****Qualifications*** A college diploma or university degree is preferred.* Relevant industry certifications or accreditations are an asset* 5+ years of relevant experience within a regulated financial institution.
