Job Description

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $75,000 CAD Annually

Overview The Performance Marketing Designer is responsible for designing high-impact, results-driven creative for our always-on marketing channels, with a primary focus on weekly BAU ads and lifecycle email flows. This role blends strong design craft, performance awareness, and rapid iteration to deliver creative that supports growth, conversion, and brand consistency. Reporting into the Head of Creative and working closely with the Performance Marketing team, this is a highly collaborative, execution-focused role. The ideal candidate is a proactive idea generator, a strong visual problem solver, and a designer who is motivated by testing, learning, and continuously improving creative based on real performance insights.

What You’ll Do

Design and deliver high-performing creative for BAU paid ads across key performance channels, with a strong focus on speed, quality, and consistency.

Support the creation and optimization of email flows and lifecycle communications, ensuring strong visual clarity, brand alignment, and performance impact.

Support the design and optimization of performance landing pages, partnering with Performance and Copy to create clear, conversion-focused layouts, visual systems, and asset iterations that improve on-page performance.

Partner closely with the Performance Marketing team to understand objectives, audiences, and channel needs, and translate those into effective creative solutions.

Take an iterative, test-and-learn approach to creative, regularly refreshing, optimizing, and evolving assets based on performance data and insights.

Actively contribute ideas for new ad concepts, formats, hooks, and visual approaches that can improve performance and scale.

Deep dive into what is working and what is not, using performance insights to inform design decisions and creative direction.

Adapt creative for different platforms, formats, and placements while maintaining strong brand consistency and clarity.

Capture and produce lightweight, lo-fi creative when needed (e.g., iPhone photo/video, quick UGC-style content, rapid turn social assets) to support fast testing, reactive moments, and performance iterations.

Support campaign work when needed, contributing performance-minded executions within larger brand initiatives.

Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring timelines, priorities, and deliverables are met with a high standard of execution.

Prepare files accurately for delivery across digital channels, ensuring assets are production-ready and meet technical specifications.

Collaborate closely with Creative, Performance, Copy, and Channel partners to ensure alignment and strong execution.

Maintain organized files, clear versioning, and efficient workflows to support fast-paced production and iteration.

Continuously look for ways to improve creative quality, efficiency, and impact through process, craft, and experimentation.

Continuously evolve creative skillsets through inspiration, experimentation, research, and upskilling.

Explore and integrate new tools, production techniques, and emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance ideation, workflows, editing craft, and execution, aligned with creative direction.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of professional experience in graphic design, marketing design, or performance-focused creative roles.

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.

Demonstrated excellence in design principles, including typography, layout, composition, visual hierarchy, color, and brand systems.

High proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Proven experience designing for paid media and digital marketing channels, including advertising and email communications.

Strong capabilities in motion, animation, and video editing, with experience producing motion-led and video-first assets for digital platforms.

Solid understanding of platform-native creative, including format requirements, pacing, and visual storytelling.

Strong awareness of culture, design, and social trends, with the ability to translate insights into relevant and effective creative solutions.

Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work, identify opportunities, and drive initiatives forward with a high degree of accountability.

Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, production-ready files.

Effective communicator and collaborative partner across creative, marketing, and performance teams.

Experience with content capture, motion graphics or 3D tools is an asset.
