Job Description
The Adventure & Experiences Manager is responsible for the daily operational execution of all Adventure & Experiences programming at Fairmont Banff Springs. This role ensures exceptional on-the-ground delivery of youth, family, adult, and guiding programs, while maintaining safety, service standards, staffing readiness, and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Director, Adventure & Experiences (Operations & Guest Experience Delivery), this position acts as the primary execution leader for day-to-day programming and Adventure Centre operations, ensuring approved experiences are delivered flawlessly and consistently.
Job Duties Include:
Oversee and execute daily youth, family, adult, seasonal, and onsite resort programming and UrVenue
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and implementing all guided/group experiences, including transportation logistics, safety oversight, and acting as liaison for luxury group and private experiences
Manage the Adventure Centre reservation and booking system, ensuring all activities, inventory, and experiences are correctly loaded, maintained, and accurately communicated across departments
Ensure service standards and operating procedures established by the Director are consistently delivered
Create and manage daily and weekly staff schedules; oversee payroll accuracy and labour deployment
Provide coaching, training reinforcement, and performance feedback to team members
Act as primary on-the-ground leader for Adventure Centre operations including reservations, equipment rentals, and tour departures
Ensure safety compliance, incident reporting, and adherence to health & safety standards
Serve as liaison with guests to ensure high levels of engagement, comfort, and service recovery when required
Operationalize new experiences and pilots developed by the Growth Director, ensuring training and execution readiness
Track operational expenses, process invoicing, and support financial reporting as directed
Maintain strong communication with internal departments and external partners to support seamless program delivery
Review guest feedback trends and provide operational insights for continuous improvement
Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications:
University/College degree in recreation, hospitality, education, tourism, or related field preferred
3–5 years progressive leadership experience in resort recreation, guiding operations, or related field
Strong operational leadership skills including scheduling, logistics coordination, and team supervision
Demonstrated ability to deliver high service standards in dynamic environments
Working knowledge of safety, risk management, and compliance expectations in outdoor environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Current CPR 'C' and Standard First Aid certification required
Class 4 driver’s license and interpretive guide certification considered assets
