Senior Java Software Engineer

SimplePin simplifies complex insurance workflows by automating financial processes between Agencies, Carriers/MGAs, and Customers. The platform enhances efficiency by automating billing, capturing, matching, and reconciling transactions back to clients' Agency Management Systems (AMS). The platform is dedicated to removing friction and improving experiences within the insurance industry, ensuring streamlined financial operations. What you’ll do

Design and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Deliver clean, maintainable code with strong ownership, refactoring, and code reviews. Build and maintain REST APIs (and integrations with internal/external systems). Work with transactions, concurrency, caching, and performance optimization. Improve engineering quality through unit and integration testing (TDD is a strong plus). Contribute to technical decisions and drive best practices. 5+ years of commercial experience with Java (8/11/17+). Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot (DI, bean lifecycle, configuration, scopes). Solid knowledge of Java Collections Good understanding of JVM fundamentals Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID principles, Dependency Inversion, and common design patterns. Hands‑on testing experience: JUnit, Mockito (or equivalent), writing testable code. Experience working with relational databases: SQL, transactions, and JPA/Hibernate Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows (code review, CI/CD usage). Nice to have
