The Role
As a Java/Scala Developer at Capco,you’llplay a key role in building and enhancing enterprise‑grade platforms for Wealth & Asset Management clients.You’llwork closely with architects, product partners, and delivery teams to develop scalable, well‑structured solutions using modern Java technologies.
WhatYou’llDo
Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA
Collaborate with System Architects to review and contribute to program and subsystem designs
Build and consume APIs, applying strong data structures and algorithmic principles
Work within Agile/Scrum teams alongside Product, QA, UAT, and PMO partners
Support high‑quality delivery through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement
WhatWe’reLooking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Strong hands‑on experience with Java, including Spring (Core, Boot), JDBC, and Hibernate/JPA
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design
Experience working with relational databases and SQL in distributed environments
Clear English communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross‑functional teamwork
Bonus Points For
Background in Securities, Banking, or Financial Services
Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and Java IDEs (preferably IntelliJ IDEA)
Familiarity with issue tracking tools and knowledge‑sharing platforms (e.g.Confluence)
Exposure to messaging technologies such as Kafka or other message queues
Experience with Oracle databases or similar enterprise data platforms

Pay ranges:
Consultant - $92,000 to $118,000 + bonus + benefits
Senior Consultant - $118,000 to $152,000 + bonus + benefits
Principal Consultant - $153,000 to $197,000 + bonus + benefits
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.

Our compensation policies and salary ranges are designed to allow our people to progress through the salary range as they demonstrate strong performance and develop in their role over time. The base pay offered to selected candidates will be within the salary range and the placement will vary based upon a variety of factors, including, but not limited to job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity.
