Our client is currently seeking a

Senior Applications Architect

for an

8-month contract

based in Toronto. This is a

hybrid position

with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week.

Responsibilities

Design and specify the overall structure, logical components, and interrelationships of systems, including applications, networks, and operating systems.

Define the structure and relationships among applications, including re-usable components, quality metrics, and interfaces.

Develop, implement, and manage cross-platform applications in large, distributed environments; monitor system interactions; define limitations and source code requirements.

Define interactions between application packages, databases, and middleware systems.

Qualifications Must Have:

Experience with OpenText

Extensive experience in Microsoft Azure Solutions Planning

Design & implementation experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure

Knowledge of Microsoft Online implementations – Office 365, Power Apps, Flows

Knowledge of Microsoft Implementations – API Management

Experience with DevOps

General Skills

Experience in developing and implementing application architectures

Experience with multiple computing platforms, operating systems, and programming languages

Knowledge of middleware, gateways, and performance considerations

Experience with structured methodologies for application development

Systems analysis and design experience in large environments

Proficiency with development tools and software engineering methodologies

Experience with data and process modeling, including metadata and data dictionaries

Experience developing enterprise architecture models

Awareness of emerging IT trends

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Team-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design

Experience with Ontario Enterprise Architecture methodologies

Understanding of Information Management principles

Experience designing detailed functional and technical requirements

Leadership in multi-tier application infrastructure design

Experience with large complex applications and workflows
