Job Summary
The Bilingual Talent Acquisition Partner – Canada is responsible for supporting full‑cycle recruitment across Canadian operations while ensuring a positive and inclusive candidate experience in both English and French. This role partners closely with hiring managers, HR, and business leaders to fill roles efficiently, maintain compliance with Canadian employment regulations, and strengthen Hillman’s presence in the Canadian talent market. The Bilingual Talent Acquisition Partner builds strong pipelines, leverages local market insights, and represents Hillman as a trusted talent advisor across provinces.
Essential Job Functions
Full‑Cycle Recruitment
Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for Canadian roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and supporting offer negotiation.
Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers to define role requirements, desired qualifications, and sourcing strategies.
Create bilingual (English/French) job postings and candidate materials to ensure clarity and compliance with Canadian language laws.
Source active and passive candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and market‑specific recruiting platforms.
Stakeholder Partnership
Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers by advising on best practices, market availability, and hiring trends in Canada.
Provide guidance on interview structures, selection methods, and equitable hiring processes.
Collaborate with HR partners to align recruitment efforts with workforce planning and business needs.
Candidate Experience
Ensure every candidate receives a timely and professional experience in both English and French.
Facilitate seamless coordination of interviews, follow‑up communication, and post‑interview feedback.
Maintain consistent communication to promote transparency, engagement, and a strong Hillman employer brand.
Compliance & Process Excellence
Ensure recruitment practices align with Canadian labor laws, provincial employment regulations, AODA requirements, and internal policies.
Support community engagement hiring best practices and inclusive outreach strategies across regions.
Track and report recruitment metrics to identify trends and drive process improvements.
Maintain accurate, well‑documented candidate information within the applicant tracking system.
Build and maintain strong pipelines talent across skilled, professional, and early‑career roles in Canada.
Monitor labor market shifts, competitive activity, and recruiting trends relevant to Canadian provinces.
Partner with external organizations, local associations, and regional job boards to expand Hillman’s reach.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally supporting operations or sourcing within Canada.
Fluent in both English and French (verbal and written).
Strong sourcing expertise and experience using ATS platforms and recruitment technologies.
Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong knowledge of employment practices, labor laws, and provincial regulations.
Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessible hiring practices.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience recruiting for bilingual roles across multiple provinces.
Familiarity with job boards, provincial talent networks, and regional recruiting strategies.
Experience supporting skilled trades or technical roles.
Data‑driven approach to evaluating recruiting effectiveness and improving processes.
Experience working in a multi‑site or matrixed organizational structure.
