SUMMARY
This role will support the US Region as a financial functional expert and authority. In addition, you will support Metro Supply Chain in a commercial reporting and analysis role providing information on performance, insights on continuous improvement opportunities, new business opportunity pricing and business case analysis.
Responsibilities
Commercial Analysis
Pricing development for all new business
Business case analysis including project financials and returns (NPV, IRR, RoCE)
Participation in contract negotiations with vendors and customers
Financial Planning & Analysis
Capital analysis
Budgeting analysis (annual budgeting process for both customer and corporate)
Forecasting
Trend Analysis
Monthly Business Review
Preparation of customer and corporate monthly business review presentations
Financial variance and causal analysis
Operation metrics reporting and trending
Process and Continuous Improvement
Work with operational management for continuous improvement projects and identify areas in need of improvement
Develop and implement processes to track and report on key business metrics
Ad Hoc Responsibilities
Special projects as needs arise
Experience
5+ years’ experience in third party logistics (within large organizations preferred)
5+ years' experience leading teams
Education
A financial designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA or MBA) is critical to be able to effectively fulfill the role
Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization to effectively understand the requirements of internal and external customers.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to performance and profitability.
Highly organized with well-honed time-management skills, able to juggle multiple projects with ease, and prioritize or escalate when necessary to ensure deliverables meet deadlines.
Effective leadership skills, always leading by example, with an open communication style and a demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
Possesses a great attitude and a demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic team to validate data and reports with all customers, internal and external, always in a timely and respectful manner.
Maintains strong confidence that conclusions of causal analyses are always of the highest integrity and beyond reproach, and enjoys the aptitude to provide clear, demonstrable explanations of the quality of the data and the analytical methods used to senior management.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze data.
Must be able to travel to the US (25%)
