Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way. The Project Engineer supports the day-to-day technical and execution activities of an active EPC project in a field-based environment. This role acts as a key integrator between engineering, construction, procurement, and project controls to ensure scope is executed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project requirements. The Project Engineer is focused on coordination, issue resolution, and progress support across multiple disciplines and work fronts. How you will contribute

Support overall project execution by coordinating engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontractor activities in the field.

Serve as a primary technical and coordination interface between site construction teams and the home office engineering group.

Track engineering deliverables, RFIs, technical queries, and field changes to support uninterrupted construction progress.

Assist with management of project scope, including identifying changes, supporting change documentation, and coordinating inputs for change management.

Review engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation to ensure constructability and alignment with site conditions.

Coordinate with procurement and material management teams to support material availability, priorities, and site constraints.

Monitor field progress against the project schedule and support recovery planning for delays or constraints.

Participate in site walkdowns, inspections, and coordination meetings to identify and resolve technical or execution issues.

Support construction supervisors with technical clarifications, installation sequencing, and resolution of non-conformances.

Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and progress measurement in coordination with project controls.

Support commissioning, pre-commissioning, and turnover activities, including punch list management and documentation handover.

Ensure all activities comply with project safety, quality, and EPC procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent field experience may be considered.

Minimum 3–7 years of experience supporting engineering or project execution on large-scale EPC projects across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, or related disciplines.

Strong understanding of EPC project execution, construction sequencing, and field coordination.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Familiarity with RFIs, change management processes, and basic project controls.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Willingness and ability to work full-time at a project site in a field or construction environment.

The salary range is CAD 95,000–$140,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
