In return, we offer you great career opportunities to grow yourself in a truly global culture where respect, value creation, collaboration, integrity, and gratitude are highly valued and exhibited in everything we do.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES****Corrective Maintenance Support**· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software and system issues related to Yokogawa control systems and associatedproducts.· Analyze system behavior, alarms, and performance issues to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.· Coordinate and escalate complex technical issues with internal engineering teams, TAC, Head Quarters and approved external partnersto ensure timely resolution and high customer satisfaction.**Preventive Maintenance Support**· Execute planned preventive maintenance activities in accordance with service agreements, site requirements, and establishedYokogawa procedures and workflows.· Assess system health, identify potential risks or obsolescence, and recommend corrective or improvement actions to enhance systemreliability, availability, and lifecycle performance.**System Configuration, Modifications, and Upgrades**· Perform system configuration, modifications, expansions, and upgrades in alignment with customer requirements, industry standards,and Yokogawa engineering practices.· Ensure all changes are properly tested, validated, documented, and approved prior to implementation in live operating environments.· Support system migrations and modernization activities as required.**On Request Resident Engineer and Site Support**· Provide on-demand resident support at customer sites, including rotational assignments.· Act as a technical point of contact for ongoing system support, operational issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.**Proposal Review and Technical Input**· Review proposals and provide technical input, scope clarification, and supporting technical data as requested.· Identify additional service, upgrade, or optimization opportunities and proactively communicate them to service management andsales teams.**Project and Engineering Support**· Provide technical support across various project phases, including documentation review, third-party vendor coordination, internalsystem testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and startup support as requested.· Participate in project meetings and/or site visits in a supporting role, as requested.**Learning and Competency Development**· Maintain and enhance technical competency through structured learning programs, mentoring, on-the-job experience, and requiredYokogawa training and certifications.· Develop and maintain working knowledge of Yokogawa internal tools, systems, and internal portals. Operational Excellence and Process Control Awareness · Maintain a fundamental and continuously developing understanding of process control concepts, techniques, and customer control philosophies. Documentation, Reporting, and Asset Care · Accurately and promptly complete service reports, technical documentation, and time reporting in compliance with company policies and quality requirements. · Provide constructive input and recommendations for continuous improvement of workflows, procedures, and service delivery practices. · Ensure proper care, calibration awareness, and maintenance of assigned test equipment, tools, data and Yokogawa-owned property. Teamwork, Safety, and Availability · Work cooperatively and effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of leadership. · Follow Yokogawa safety policies, site safety rules, and safe work practices at all times. · Support a collaborative work environment focused on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. · May require extensive travel, rotational site assignments, and participation in 24-hour on-call support, based on business and customer needs. JOB REQUIREMENTS · Demonstrates a positive, proactive, solution-oriented, attitude. · Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. · Produces clear, accurate, and professional technical reports and documentation. · Effective listener with the ability to influence, align, and build trust with customers and internal stakeholders. · Demonstrates a strong learning mindset and willingness to continuously improve technical and professional skills. · Exhibits ownership, accountability, and a results-driven approach to problem-solving. · Willingness to travel approximately 30 to 50 percent, based on business requirements. · Availability for rotational assignments at customer sites across Canada.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**· BS degree in Engineering or other relevant disciplines and 6 or more years of experience OR MS degree in Engineering or otherrelevant disciplines and 3 or more years of experience in the design and implementation of process control systems.· Knowledge of basic control system hardware, software & applications.Yokogawa is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
