Job Description
Permanent Full Time
Do you always put the customer first? Are you able to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal? Do you have the ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences? Are you comfortable working with fixed deadlines? If you answered a wholehearted yes to all these questions, we want to talk to you.
As part of the National Implementation team in Plan Sponsor Services, an Implementation Specialist works with various stakeholders to implement new business in our Regular Group market. This is your opportunity to use your group customer benefits knowledge to deliver an industry‑leading, customer‑focused service experience to our new customers.
An Implementation Specialist is a key collaborator with other internal departments (B&TS, Drug Services, M&DS, Disability, GCCS, Billing and Enrolment), Business Development, advisors and with the customer directly. As no two groups are alike, the Implementation Specialist needs to unravel the complexity of the group benefits plan with every implementation.
This role is national in scope and diverse with respect to plan types. This provides for greater learning opportunities and unique challenges to take on. The role is ever changing as our business evolves.

Apply National Standards: Utilize standardized national implementation processes, including internal and external templates, tools, and tracking systems to ensure consistency and quality.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key liaison between advisors, clients, Head Office departments, and regional sales/service teams to support successful plan setup aligned with the sale.
Client & Advisor Support: Respond to routine inquiries from advisors and clients regarding the implementation process, providing clear guidance and timely updates.
Drive Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine implementation processes to identify efficiencies and enhance the client/advisor experience.
Project Participation: Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects within Plan Sponsor Services, supporting innovation and service excellence.
What You Will Bring
Industry Expertise: 2–5 years of experience in the Canadian insurance and/or financial services industry, with a focus on Group Benefits.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of group insurance benefit products and plan structures, with a broad awareness of Group Customer operations.
System Proficiency: Familiarity with GroupNet Flex and My Canada Life at Work platforms is considered an asset.
Technology Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SmartSheet is an asset.

Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities, with a structured approach to evaluating options and assessing risks and impacts.
Innovative Problem Solving: Creative and solution‑oriented mindset; able to challenge the status quo and develop customer‑centric solutions.
Execution & Organization: Highly organized with excellent time‑management skills; able to manage shifting priorities and dynamic workloads effectively.
Collaborative Team Player: Builds positive relationships, fosters team cohesion, and prioritizes collective success over individual goals.
Growth Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development; naturally curious and adaptable.
Client Engagement: Experience facilitating meetings with external clients/advisors.
Language Skills: Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
