Job Description RBC’s AML are looking to expand our data ingestion platform team. You’ll be working as part of a team to build automation solutions for data ingestion from various sources into S3 and Snowflake for terabytes of data.

What is the opportunity? RBC’s AML are looking to expand our data ingestion platform team. You’ll be working as part of a team to build automation solutions for data ingestion from various sources into S3 and Snowflake for terabytes of data.

What will you do?

Work within an Agile product team to design, develop and maintain data ingestion flows and evolve the platform to orchestrate them.

Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes.

Ensure data quality, security, and performance.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

Integrate Snowflake with other data sources and BI tools.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs and platform issues.

Collaborate with our developers and cross-functional teams to integrate data capabilities into existing and new applications.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, transformations and data models.

Foster knowledge and collaborative functions

Gather functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications. This includes interfacing with other engineers, project managers, business analysts and end users.

Collaborate with other team members on resolving technical issues, improving current products and developing new features.

What do you need to succeed? Must Have

5+ years of Experience with Big Data technologies used for ETL: Spark, Yarn, Hive, Hadoop

Strong SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling.

Experience with Scala & Snowflake cloud data platform.

Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Airflow).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering and, or a related field.

Knowledge of SCM, Infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

Experience with workflow management tools like: Apache Airflow

Experience with Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, GitHub, Automated Testing tools, Git, or similar tools.

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes/Containers
