Overview
As an
Account Director , you will serve as a trusted counselor to senior clients, leading integrated teams and overseeing programs that earn attention, build trust and deliver measurable impact. You bring strong judgment across earned media, influencer, and social, paired with creative thinking and disciplined execution.
You will lead complex, multi-channel campaigns for global brands, spanning earned media, influencer, social, experiential, and digital. Your role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on management, ensuring ideas are sound, delivery is seamless, and teams are set up to do their best work.
You’ll also play an operational role within MSL, contributing to how we plan, pitch, and grow. As a people and committee manager, you’ll support career development, set clear expectations, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
Responsibilities
Lead day‑to‑day client relationships, providing senior counsel and ensuring delivery against objectives, budgets, and KPIs
Oversee the development of integrated communications plans across earned, influencer, and digital channels
Partner with creative, strategy, and media teams to bring ideas to life across the full PESO ecosystem
Lead brainstorming and ideation sessions that produce culturally relevant, talkable ideas
Guide and mentor several large teams of talented practitioners - fostering growth, accountability, and creativity
Contribute to agency growth through strategic planning, new biz pitching, and presentation excellence
Manage several large annual client budgets, managing monthly billing and oversee forecasting, and account profitability
Manage three to four direct reports, with responsibility to mentor and guide career growth and encourage alignment with MSL values
Uphold MSL’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
8–12 years of progressive experience in public relations, communications, or integrated marketing
Leadership experience in consumer packaged goods and experiential events is strongly preferred
Proven expertise in creative strategy & planning
Deep experience in influencer, social, and earned media integration
Strong creative instincts paired with disciplined strategic thinking
Skilled at leading large accounts, managing complex programs, and inspiring teams
Financially astute with a track record of managing budgets and delivering results
Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and adaptable — thrives in a fast‑moving, evolving environment

This is a hybrid role tied to our Toronto office.
Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is CAD$100K-$115K per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
